Excellent Hospice and Palliative Care position available in North Carolina. This position is located just outside Raleigh Durham and Chapel Hill. This is a new program and you would be the only Palliative Care physician. They do plan on bringing in a Nurse Practitioner in the future. You would share time between a hospital and several nursing homes in the area but predominantly working at the hospital. The average number of admission per year is 350 to 400 and you would be seeing about 10-15 patients per day. You would be required to take call every fourth Saturday from 8am to 12pm.
